Storm drain installation along Harmon Ave.
TAB Contractors has been working on the Cosmopolitan project for the last 5 years. The original contract called for TAB to re-route the storm drain, water and sewer lines for Jockey Club in order for the excavation for the Cosmo to start. Due to quality work performed by TAB, Perini has expanded our work scope to include the off-site improvements for the entire project. This has included the installation of 400 feet of 6’x3’ storm drain box on Las Vegas Blvd., 800 feet of RCP storm drain on Harmon, water connections for the new casino, tie-ins of 8 sewer laterals at depths of 30’ and over 100,000 square feet of new pavement on Las Vegas Blvd and Harmon Ave. Another significant portion of the project was the installation by TAB of the dewatering system for the parking garage which is built 80’ below street level. The dewatering system covered over 320,000 square feet and has 10,000 feet of dewatering pipe feeding 12 ejection pits that pump the water to street level to tie into the storm drain system installed by TAB. TAB contractors was also asked to help hammer out the last 10 feet of caliche at the bottom of the excavation for the parking garage.
